Bootle parks - Kings Garden
Donated by Lord Derby to commemorate the coronation of Edward VII.
Officially opened by Lord Derby on the 18th of July 1904.
They unveiled the statue of Edward VII that had been donated by Colonel Sandys MP for Bootle at that time.
The War Memorial unveiled was 15th of October 1922
It bears the inscription "In Greatful Memory of over 1000 men from Bootle who gave their lives in the GREAT WAR 1914 - 18".
The inscriptions of the names of the men who died in the Second World War were added later.
