A different side named Bootle Celtic applied to join the JOC for the 1947/48 season in the Senior (North) Division.
1953/54 was Bootle Celtic's final season in the JOC, ending as Division 1 Champions.

As I said not yet complete. The only Mulholland I've found so far is Tommy Mulholland who played for Alhambra in the 1946/47 season.
There was also a John Mulholland playing for Bensons in the 1953/54 season.
Re; George Scanlan. Appended a cutting from April 6 1951 Bootle Times to the second post.
George Scanlan was a prolific inside right for Everton D in the 1950/51 season.

Think I've got the correct Bobby Boardman. By my reckoning born 1936.
Prolific scorer for Cyprus and Winifred Sports in the late 1950's.
1954/55. 57 goals for Cyprus.
1955/56. 64 goals for Cyprus.
1956/57. 27 goals for Winifred Sports
1957/58. 30 goals for Winifred Sports.
1958/59 Division 1 Champions and Everton Cup winner with Winifred Sports beating Bensons 3 - 2 in the final.
The teams.
1959/60 Harwood Cup Winner with Winifred Sports, scoring 2 goals in the final against Alexandra.
Still one of the best headlines I've seen.

Note the players and officials wearing black armbands.
