Hi Dave, still looking for your dad? I used to live in the chapel house that was beside the Carrara Marble works, I have been in touch with you before regarding you finding your dad, I don't remember Basil at all but I do remember Joey Chapman who lived opposite North Park on Stanley Road, by the bus stop, also, John McKay, not sure where he lived, somewhere off Stanley Road, these two men would have worked with Basil and could, maybe, have helped you, did you find them at all?

Dave,

Did you ever get a copy of your dad's birth certificate? or marriage cert to Doris?

They might help in finding other family members, his mother's first name from birth cert, and address.

I tried to find him in 1939 register but nothing is showing up.

Hi Dave, I can't remember exactly when I lived there but it was was about 1956 to 1962/63. My nana was in the chapel house before us, she moved to Exeter Road when we moved in.
