42 Hatton hill football team 1962-1963Hi all. I'm Steve Wells and I captained Hatton Hill but I reckon it was probably a couple of years after this photo, maybe 64/65. That's definitely not me extreme left of front row. I do remember a lad a couple of years older also called Wells. Ray Wells. I think he lived on Hatton Hill. That could well be him. I remember the teachers. That's Mr Taylor and Mr Collie
41 Anyone remember
A blonde lad Robbie Johnson lived in Empire rd.He went to St Elizabeth's , think Wilfred's or St Mary's, he was supposed to of been a cracking player
I can see you, ian smith, hank millar, but can't make my mind up which one is peanut fraser !!! and who the hell is the teacher ???

Who remembers Heysham AFC? Their home ground was beside the old English Electric Factory opposite Bootle Municipal golf course but we played most of our games on the sports field by the Cabbage Inn. — with Ronnie Wynne, Dave Beard, Jimmy Hayton, David Williams, Dave Williams ABC News4, Alf Sinnott, Tommy Banks and Dave Williams

My first junior school was at Star of the Sea in Seaforth, I went there from 1963 to 1969. Michael Turley
My memory is not what it used to be and I can only recall a couple of the teachers Mr Barry was one he used to teach sport, and Miss Gannon was another, Can anyone remember any more.? Who else out there went there during this period.?
I found this old football picture taken in Mr Barry’s old classroom around 1967-68. It was our year 6 football team. It was taken just before a cup final. We played and beat Litherland Moss in the “Coote Cup Final at Marine Football ground in Crosby”.
I seem to recall we won 2-0 I think Paul Ferguson and John Hulligan scored the goals but I can’t be sure. I can only remember one lad from Litherland Moss, who played in the game that was Steve Baker, I only remember him because he played in goal, as I did. Who else remembers playing that day?
Those in the picture are as follows,
Top row. Cant for the life of me remember the first lad, next to him is Peter Cunningham (AKA Popeye) Micky Smith, Mick Turley, Ray Gilroy (sadly passed away.), Dave Woodcock and John Hulligan.
Front row, from left to right, Roy McCluskie, Anthony Evans, Colin Fairbrother Paul Ferguson, not sure of next person think his surname was Hansen, and then Micky Brown.
I have only seen Paul Ferguson, Colin Fairbrother and John Hulligan over the past few years. I haven’t seen any of the others in years, Wonder how you all are? Michael Turley
