Derek,
Top of page 68, your dad gets a mention as Pentagon's outside left on the last day of the 1962/63 season. Pentagon lost to Phoenix Albion 0-4, when Pentagon were trying for the Division Two Championship.
Pentagon then went in to the Zingari League before returning to the JOC in the 1965/66 season.
I'll probably revisit the 1960's to fill out the seasons' details.
I'm sure that if BobB doesn't remember your dad he'll know a man that does.
Don't know if you would have gone to the Pentagon 1964 Christmas Party.
Regards
Dan

Hi,
I believe these books belong to my grandad, mick Goodwin he was manager of pentagon and my dad Stephen goodwin remembers these book from when he was a child. He remembers read them they were hard back A4 books.
He also remembers the Christmas party as he would go along to watch and he remembers all the players like chick Mcvey.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Katy

Ive got one book with ten seasons of the pentagon, for ten years a detailed record was kept, not one week missed, not one player missing from the line up, not one goal scorer missed. What dedication. To do all this for so long, and not for personal gain or to impress but just for the love of game. I can only imagine the passion he must have had for the game, bet his team talks were amazinge must have been a great manager to play for. They just dont make people like that anymore and the worlds a sadder place cos if it. Im in work at the moment so i will let you know what years they were and if your grandad was the manager at that time then it would be great to get it back were they belong with his family.
