I liked that he caught the ball instead of punching or parrying it away . Our fellah still worries me, very casual at times.

Henry. If you have never been a goalie then you just don't know what you are writing about. Just a 'blind' red looking for reasons.
As for tonights result. In 72 years of supporting the blues I have never been so sure that they will lose heavily. I would have a different opinion if Big Sam was still manager as he would know how to escape with a draw. Dull football but it gets results.
Of course this is football and I stand to be corrected when the final whistle goes....but I would never even contemplate trying to forecast the actual score.
A draw would have suited everyone on Merseyside,

I have played in goal for st.WINNIES and would have attempted to dive for the ball instead of standing there like a lemon and not looking for reasons or excuses just going on what I seenErnie Jackson. LFC announce record profits of £106 million for last year benefiting from a long Champions League run and part of the Coutinho sale. Hopefully this accounts year will be even better with some silverware to help swell the coffers.

That's more like it!
Attacking with pace for a change, and plenty of support for the front three.
Just need to improve the finishing, but overall a much improved performance.

Some wonderful stuff from the Reds yesterday - Bobby's backheel for Mo's goal was a thing of beauty.
Sad to hear of those two losses - R.I.P. both

Bit disappointed Ken to be honest, poor work rate hardly in the game.

A dreadful performance IMO . Should all go to Specsavers to be tested for colour blindness the amount of times they pass to the opposition. The only good thing is Bayern didn't score, and so it gives us some chance if we get an away goal.

Agree Bill. Salah had a shocker and Mane missed several good chances.
If the front three ain’t firing why don’t Robertson and TAA have a shot, they often get into good positions and then waste a cross, have a pop for goodness sake.
Our goalie still worries me with His faffing with the ball at his feet.
Henderson had a good game as did Fabinho.
There is still hope.
My Son has invited me to Munich on a corporate deal , should be good , medical situation permitting.

Hi Ken. I hope that you are well enough to travel to Munich and that the result there is better.
As a neutral I thought the away side were excellent and extremely well organised so that, accordingly, Liverpool were limited.
I would think that the necessary change of tactics by Bayern in the return leg will suit Liverpool and all is not lost. Not by any means.

Thanks Ernie.
Yes I agree, they were very disciplined , reminded me of LFC European away performances of former years.
Our front three never seem to click at the same time lately and I reckon we are two positions short of a great side when all fit.
1). A midfielder with brains and skill to unlock packed defences as last night. (like Coutinho)
2). A goal scorer to bring on as a game changer ( something different like a Crouch type )
Another testing game at the weekend , we need a result.

0-0 isn't bad I still think we will in the next round.

I sense a lot of nervousness here. Even Henry has stopped his BB football forecasts.
I believe the next hurdle should shape your season. To win the Prem. you need to win at Old Trafford and that is a big hurdle. If you get a result there then Bayern will seem easier.
This weekend could be great for City as the liklihood of winning the final is on the cards and they could even be league leaders too.?
Its nice to be a neutral as my only thoughts are well aired already. They are all foreigners anyway.

It would be nice if they all clicked today, we've seen one or even two play well but not all three for a while.

Yet another absolutely dreadful performance. No composure, no guile, passing awful. De Gea must have had one of his easiest games ever, all he had to do was take goal kicks. The last couple of games Salah has been a waste of space, and how he survived for Eighty minutes I have no idea. On the last few performances Man City are streets ahead of them.
