Hi Bill,we cannot even LEAVE home never mind trying to get back  No snow ploughs on our road for 3 days.
The snow is now 45cm.deep on it and we had another dump of 15cms. last night.Schools have been shut down for 2 days.
I am not allowed by Sheila and our doctor to clear snow off our driveway.Hospitals get kind of full with heart attack patients
(mostly men) after a wet snow fall.I have had by-pass surgery twice now and I do not want to go through another operation.

Sorry Ed no S. African brandy.Nothing much of anything at Cape Town Airport.

Congratulations BH - takes courage dealing with such emergencies - pat on the back for you

Snow scenes from Matts house look great :) (wouldn’t want to be there though)

Very commendable Tom and congratulations on passing the course. First Responders are essential to small communities.

Gaynor & Family came in over the weekend and we spent Friday evening & Saturday at Christopher Newport
University where they were holding the Track & Field Championships and I actually got a chance to see my
Grandson Colin race for his Uni - He ran the distance medley relay and they actually broke the record
and the 800 m. It really was an eventful two days and lovely to see how they fully support one another.

Hi Patricia,I think I may have posted this photo before So many people on Southern Vancouver Island feed the hummingbirds that they no longer do their trip down to Southern California and Mexico. When I came to the Island in 1968 hummingbirds used to head south near the end of September but round about 1970-80 all of the birdwatchers started to notice that the Annas hummer was not leaving the Island and in fact they tried to rename it the Vancouver Island Hummingbird but on the north end of the Island they still go south but come back early March.
