Fantastic Bob,

Wouldn't it be brilliant if they had sound recording capabilities back then to listen to, along with the moving images.

Great stuff.

Hello

Not sure I have attached the photograph correctly, it should be a certificate awarded to W.H Pickavance in the parade of cart horses, Bootle May Day Demonstration, dated June 6th 1925, found it languishing in an Antique shop in Nantwich a while back, I framed it myself, and I must say it looks rather good.

Regards

John

Thanks John.

Doesn't matter how you post it. There's always someone on the site who'll be able to sort things out. Just keep posting.

Great certificate. May Day Celebrations must have been a huge social occasion.

Cheers Shelagh.
I keep hoping that when I look at this thread someone will have posted, " That was my gran or great-gran."
Interesting, the customs of 100 years ago,

I suppose moving the May Day Celebrations to June guaranteed better weather.
