Thanks for that, Patricia
Yes, I think it's a lovely picture, my lack of photography skills do it no justice
It's been hanging in the hallway for some years now, the amount of comments it's had, you would not believe
Most people identify the building immediately, usually ask about the artist!
The pub in the picture is the "Vines" also known as the "big house" Lime Street.
The brewery who owned the pub, were so delighted, commissioned the artist to supply more pantings of their pubs. all in a similar style
Photo of your art winner, put me in mind of the many wonderful art exhibitions I once used to attend
Might just pop into our magnificant art gallery this week, so fortunate to have such a grand old building!!

Plenty of cabbage types are planted now.need garden fleece once the shoots sre above ground.there is a lot of veg that benefit from late autumn and esrly winter sowing.onions and shallots do very well also garlic.
There is even spring onions and cress that do very well.
If you are going to wait till spring cover your beds with plastic so the soil warms up quicker.
I use blood and bone granules and growmore a week before planting.graham.

one more from yesterday.me and helen were in a hide where there is a good view of the feeders where the small birds gather,as do the rats underneath waiting for seeds falling from the feeders.
it was very icey and the small lake by the feeders was freezing over.i said to helen i hope one of the rats cross the lake when low and behold one them did.
