Know exactly what you mean Bern; Bowie and Bryan Ferry both make my skin crawl.... can't explain why but the way the sight of either of them made me feel left no room to like their music :?
Can't agree on Dylan though, no great fan of his voice but some of his lyrics are pure poetry. Also like Marley but know you just don't like reggae. Strokes and folks hey mate.

Belting little tune off my second favourite Macca album, 'Flowers In The Dirt'.

If you're curious, 'Band On The Run' is my all time fave album from Paul!.

A nice mellow cover version of a belter from "A Hard Day's Night" to wish a happy 80th birthday to Roberta Flack.

Getting harder and harder to find Beatles' tracks due to copyright issues on YouTube

Managed by Brian Epstein, this band supported the Fab Four on their final European tour where Cliff got to hear Macca singing this song (also on Revolver). Macca produced this recording, which got to number 6 in the charts. It was also covered by Earth Wind & Fire later on.

Another bit of trivia - 3 of those 'Rebel Rousers' went on to become Chas & Dave (including Mick Burt the drummer in case you think I can't count).

Please allow me this tenuous choice of Beatles track as Thin Lizzy's brilliant guitarist Scott Gorham turns 66 today.

Well done Keith.

To be absolutely honest, I thought of using that one earlier in the week but it slipped my mind once I saw the corny Thin Lizzy reference

Again, difficult to find a decent version of this due to copyright issues but, as it's Mother's Day on Sunday...

Fab Four Easter Friday.

In my humble opinion this is Macca`s greatest ever vocal, what a cracking, gutsy blues rock track.

Like the track Keith but not particuilarly fond of Macca's vocal - seems a bit of a strain for him to me.

Here's my pick for this week - a bit of Tina Turner...

Shock! Horror!
Just found a YouTube version of a Beatles song that's actually performed by......... The Beatles.

As it was our Holly's 17th birthday on Tuesday, it would have been rude not to, so, without furher ado...

As they're all over the telly just now (reunion tour coming up) here's the straight version of the Help cover Bananarama did with French & Saunders for Comic Relief back in 1989
