Nice photo, Dorothy, we're you lucky enough to see the Northern lights while you were there?

Thanks, Shelagh; he certainly is. He's 86 so doesn't do much now, but there are hundreds of his paintings all over the country. Here is one of Sydney Harbour bridge, from a photo that I took.

Phil, Your father certainly is very talented the pictures are lovely.
You can tell him that it may be "boring" painting the Falls but
it certainly is an unforgettable thrill to go on the boat ride almost
INTO the Falls - certainly hope you did that!!
I wondered what was going on when we were all handed packages
of rain gear to put on then, I understood why after the boat ride :D !!

You are certainly experiencing some awful weather with "Doris" couldn't
believe some of the videos that have appeared of the Liverpool Pierhead
and people being blown all over the place!! Please take care Everyone!!

Dorothy - I have only heard good things about a trip to Iceland it must be
a magnificent experience viewing the Northern Lights in all its glory. We were lucky
enough to see a smaller viewing of them in Alaska.

Thanks again Shelagh; he has had paintings exhibited at the Albert Dock. I'll pass on your kind words.

Thanks to you as well, Patricia. I thought he meant it to be boring from an artistic perspective, after all he never experienced the fury and majesty of the falls, so it was not personal to him. My description must have fell on deaf ears. :) I agreed with him when I saw the picture. The picture was taken from about half a mile away, so it was not the same. You're so lucky to have seen the Northern lights, we went to Scotland to try and do it on the cheap, but were unlucky. Our logic was that you've more chance of seeing them the longer you stay. We could have stayed in Scotland for seven nights, for the price of three in Iceland. As it happened we only stayed for five, due to the weather.

Thanks Bernie: I tried my best not to get in it :) You're right about the cranes, they were filming from New Brighton on Northwest Tonight and you could see them in the back ground.
