Just having a reminiscing day and going back to remember all the nice people, who are no longer with us. Wonder what they would have had to say, on the subject of Brexit. Obviously don't know but we would certainly have had a good laugh about it. Remembering Ryter the author of the Tribute, what a knowledgeable man he was, left us quietly without fuss, God Bless him. May he rest in peace. Anyway to all of them Thank You.

Bucks to the end.

Ernie posted this as a memorial to his sister Babs - the star that shines forever in our memories.

________________________________

WISH YOU WERE HERE by Babs

Long standing members of this site will remember this heading.

It was initiated by Bab's and was a huge success. It was curtailed through she herself asking Mack for it to be so.

Initially I didn't intend to post the demise of my dear sister Babs and just advised the folk from her town who had befriended her and had become close. Having second thoughts on what she may have wanted, and the fact that I may have missed those who would want to know, I am reopening it for a short time, in memory of my only sister.

That heading appears even more appropriate now we have lost her.

Think of Babs as one at rest
For her you should not weep
She has no pain, no troubled thoughts
For she is just asleep
The living, thinking Babs that was
Is now forever still
And life goes on without her now
As time forever will.

If your heart is heavy now
Because she's gone away
Dwell not long upon it friend
For none of us can stay.
Those of you who liked her
I sincerely thank you all
For those of you who loved her
I thank you most of all.

And in her fleeting lifespan
As time went rushing bye
She found some time to hesitate
To laugh, to love, to cry.
Matters it not how time began
Or if time will ever cease
She was here, she used it all
And now she rests in Peace.

Ernie, I have good memories of your sister Barbara. She is at rest, no more sadness or pain.
My condolences to you and your family on your loss.
Barbara had a good sence of humor, so I will tell this story which I Never! told her.
She sent me the biggest box of lovely chocolates, if you don't know I live in the desert (very hot ) and the chocolates travelled 6000. Miles...so kind of melted together....But not to be done out of them, I put them in the refrigerator and in the end ate everyone. Bless you Barbara R.I.P. Your friend Jean xx

Myself and family wish to thank all who have passed on their messages of condolence. Bab's has passed on but your kind comments show she will be remembered well by all. Truly a very kind and compassionate lady who I am proud to call my sister.

Today is the anniversary of John Moorcroft's death.nine years ago.

Easy for me to remember because it is also the 34th anniversary

of my own husbands death. 23rd August 1982.

To others, these men are just memories
Of the good times and even the bad.
But to those of us who lost them
They're the best thing that we ever had.

Born with a sense of humour.
Gods gift to us Scousers of course.
A passion for helping each other.
Done without thanks or remorse.

And so on this day we remember.
Those wonderful men we once had.
To us wives ,they were someone so special.
To their kids just a wonderful Dad.

Thank You Ladies Jean Irene and Sheelagh.

how lucky you were to have had them in the first place.

Belated birthday wishes Shee I nearly met you once upon a time,

Marie 777 - That indeed is a lovely, thoughtful, poem. Know you
must get comfort from Jean & Kathy all having shared the same
tragic loss of a loving husband. I know I'm so grateful every day
that I still have Lew! xx

Thanks Eddy and Sheelagh.

Having recently joined the BB group who have lost loved ones I know that, like myself, they think constantly of them and miss them so much.

I had never imagined I could have reacted so badly to my own personal great loss.

Yes Henry, I never had the pleasure of meeting your sister but know that her contibution to this Forum is greatly missed. I hadn't been a member long when she passed but in that short time she warmed my heart and made me laugh many times. She was everything I expect to find in a proper Bootle Girl; sincere, strong, straight talking and blummin' funny! Hope you're making them laugh in your Red Heaven dear Annie!

Met Annie at the YMCA meet-ups, seems ages ago; also her sister Chrissie........oh and their little brother Henry and his wife Anne.
Annie and Chrissie always looked good, hair done, make-up on, smart clothes.

Oh how I miss those early meet-ups.
