Hi I grew up in Bootle I have been in Australia since 1967 I went Salisbury Road GONE Gray street GONE AND it wont be long before St Georges joins the GONES LIST shame on the town planners .I have been home twice 1992 and 1998 I have been a bootle times member for a few Years and I dont like the way my Bootle memories are being bulldozed

Hi the Muirheads i new lived in Chestnut grove next door to the Brady,s I knew Davy & Matty I went to school with Davy we knocked around for many years Muirheads was a good family their dad used to go the Elly at the bottom of Strand road and catch micks with corn from the Grainy to feed his family we all used to go the Grainy to get anchor irons for sluggin with our gatty,s/ Davey

The photo of Salisbury road school its a dream to me I went to Salibury road 1951/53 There was only the last part of the school left when I went there(thanks Mr Hitler) I lived in 75Balfour road went to ozz in 1967 Big bonus for me is the church again mr hitler did it what a MEMORY THANK YOU as a kid all us kids only played on the debbie the church was opposite ou ouse we ( rowlands clan) moved from Henley street Seaforth to 75 balfour in 1943 cant wait to tell Terry Riley My life time mate about this Again WOT A PHOTO Thanks Davey

Thanks for the school photos. I was very pleased with the Salisbury Road one because that is the first time I've ever seen the outside of the Scots Presbyterian chapel (if only a bit and in the background) on Balfour Road. It was a bomb site when I knew it and we used to play in the rubble. That was before I knew that it was the church that my nan and mum went to before the war. If anyone has a better picture of the chapel, I'd very much like to see it.
