From the old, nailed on stooded boots to some Danny Blanchflowers with moulded soles and studs that lasted me years as did my chin pads.
For tie ups we had a mate who worked in Courtaulds who brought us "trimmings", they were mostly pink and very fetching  Ken

Hi Bob Hammo;.....Bobby Lawson was indeed a fine goalkeeper, I've witnessed many incredible saves from him, I'm sure had he been a tad taller he'd have been a Pro player easily.

When he left for Linacre, he was replaced by Phil Alty (as mentioned by Bob B), another fearless keeper & a great guy too.

Graham Egerton (again mentioned by Bob B) was another fine player in the 'Dave Makay' mould. He sadly passed away a few years ago. RIP Graham.

Bob B. The whole photo is there, perhaps you are using your mobile, if you view the post on a laptop or computer, you'll be able view it all. :-)

Stevie Platt, again another good player, he was a member of the famous Bootle Boys team that defeated Liverpool boys (then National Champions) at Anfield (circa 1967)..........along with Peter Clint (RIP), Gem Fitz, John Dry, Stevie Marshal, Ben Seddon, Mike Bolger.....etc etc.......What a night that was.

:-)
