New Year's Eve is always a time for reflection and I think this little ditty from 1D kind of captures that (video is really well made as well)...

Believe there was every possibility that Elvis would still be singing -
Tony Bennet is still crooning and doing a grrreat job at 88 years of age :D :D
Here is his latest with Lady Gaga:

This one's for my father in law who passed away last Sunday. He wasn't a Dam Buster, his war service was in Egypt but I think a little poetic licence is acceptable. Rest now H.C.H.

That song's not toooo bad for C&W but perhaps it's just the vid that makes it seem a bit more cheerful :P

Nice one Bee - I do like The Animals.

Fab Four Friday again but something a little different.

Check out BBC4 at 11pm tonight. There's a fab programme about modern day artists re-recording the 'Please Please Me' album all in one day (like the Beatles did 50 years earlier). This is one of the performances featured and, while we all love to hate Mick Hucknall, this is a great version of "Anna (Go to him)".

A special Fab Four Friday today as it's the anniversary of their final public performance on the roof of the Apple Corp building (January 30th 1969) - the stuff of legend!

Fab Four Friday

On Tuesday I had the misfortune of stewarding of Strictly Come Dancing - 2.5 hours of torture!

One positive was that it reminded me of this forgotten 'gem' from Macca - enjoy(?)

Fab Four Friday again.

Here's a cover of a Beatles classic done by a band called Boyce Avenue. I'd never heard of these guys until our Louise picked their cover of Kings of Leon's 'Use Somebody' to walk down the aisle to. I recommend you have a look at their other stuff on YouTube - they do their own stuff but in the main it's acoustic covers of things you may have heard.

Very good they are too!

Anyway, the tune - Blackbird...

Oops

I missed my Fab Four Friday post last week so have a look/listen at this cracker from The Script (who did a cracking gig at the arena last Thursday by the way).

It's a lyric video so have a look at the clever lyrics.
