think it was the original name bernie, your dad will know he played bowls there for quite some time. 70s-80s before we played for st winnies. steve m.

It was my regular watering hole in the late 60s and i don't remember it being spelt with a Y, it was as i remember spelt Windham. JJC.

It was also my local in the 60's and it was spelt with an 'I' not a 'Y'

Is that the Windham Hotel in Oriel Road , if so, I'm sure my dad had shares in it, he was there every night. lol

Hi all,
Ray Mears (Bootle Lad) has sent me this photo to post on this thread,
It was taken in the Windham Hotel, Oriel Road.
In the photo from left to right are,
Joe Cunningham, Billy Long and Ray Mears,
It was at Billy's sisters wedding and we were 16 years old at the time.
