Hi....maybe someone out there can help ?

Despite my best internet efforts (Including asking at HALFORDS where I bought the bike).

I cannot find a replacement rear wheel for this Carrera Intercity folding bike (NOT electric),,,,,or even a suitable rim in order to re-build.

Tyre size 20" x 1.95.

Mayday Mayday

Cheers

Can't help Paul, sorry.
I see Halfords own the Carrera range of bikes.
They are still selling the model you have and yet they cannot supply spare parts. Bit annoying that and not good practice.
I hope you get sorted.
Is there not a website for bike breakers as in cars ?

Just done a quick search for 20" x 1.95".

See if this link to Amazon helps...

Its the tyre and not the full wheel though.

Thanks Keith & Mack for your input.

However, getting a tyre is the easy part (thanks anyway)......as it's the rim that has split.

Maybe better to rebuild the wheel.....so if anyone has a 20" rim...??

Or perhaps return to Halfords with original purchase paperwork....kick up an almighty fuss....get an accomplice to film it...shove it on FB....cause a media firestorm.

= Result ?? (seems the only option these days)

Rant over.

Cheers

Paul,
have a look at this web page (scroll down to the comments). It might be worth asking for help on this or you might even find someone who has solved the same problem.
Good luck

Thanks for that Bee............some useful info & reviews there about the bike.

I fully recommend the bike.....I've done loads of miles on all kinds of terrain....it handles great.

So I've entered my problem onto that forum too, (well, I think I have !?).

Thanks again for your input.

Paul, just been recommended this cycle repair place. Had a quick look. Wheel rebuilds are £30 .

Thanks Keith for that 'Liverpool bike repairs' link......it looks a good site.

However, I finally got sorted by HOBSONS, on Walton Vale (next to The Raven (Spoons) pub.)

New wheel trim, re-built with new spokes & fully fitted...(£90)......I'm now a 'Happy Bunny'.

I've used HOBSONS before & can fully recommend.

Thanks everyone who contributed.

Cheers
