It is Derby Road and the shop Larry Burtons is on the corner of Grimshaw Street, next door is Mawdsleys timber merchants (and coffin makers), on the opposite corner of Grimshaw Street is John Ebos cafe, Grimshaw Street would have been located opposite Pleasant Street which is still in existence to this day. That’s great many thanks for confirming,
unfortunately I don’t think this is the same barbers I’m looking for as I’m looking for 262 Derby road which I think was further down the road near Howe Street, the same family business could have moved to this location though years later
I’m currently researching my family tree, and wanted to find more info on a Barbers Shop in 262 Derby Road that my family lived and worked at between the years of 1891-1911 from records I have. Would anyone remember this shop with exact location or have any old photos please?

Hi Bobhamo,
Many thanks for your reply and info you’ve shared.
I thought the barbers could have been on the corner of Howe Street just would liked to of been able to see past photos of it. Would you know where I could search for this info please?
Thanks Shorne
