I played football on the Holy Ghost pitch in front of the Tom Jones by the hills,I also remember a footpath going diagonaly across the pitch.It was about 1960 trainer was Mr McGoven ,fantastic teacher. Best wishes for 2018 James Pugh (Chugger)

I had many a pint in the "LA" it was just around the corner from me when I lived at the bottom of Sterrix Lane near the junction with Gorsey Lane.

Note to self; forget railways and concentrate on pubs.
In the late 60's, my older brother and his mates always started out their Saturday nights in Tom Jones', then headed off into town.
I think some pubs are missed more than others. The LA being a case in point.
