Hiya Bob, the name of that pub was the Zente Pub Kirk Street off Netherfield Road North?

Bob it most certainly is the Queens at the bottom of Kirk St/ Derby Rd, the house/shop next to the Queens was Georgie Greens. JJC. (Just wondering if Eric Morrison would have been the landlord at the time the pic was taken)

Hiya John, so was the Queens also known as the Zente? If so please accept my apologies, Bob.
Yet another senior moment from me.
Cheers Joe.

Joe, to the best of my knowledge the Queens was never known as The Zente,
Lynne, you would only find Kirk Street Bootle (running off Derby Road) on maps pre dating 1960. JJC.

Bob i am thinking it is to celebrate a religious occasion, to me it looks like a image of "our lady" in the centre of the first row of bunting. JJC.

Definitely Kirk street and the Queens pub (open on a Sunday), with Coffee House bridge at the upper end of the street.
