A great picture Joe. The lorry on the left was probably loaded with oranges from
Spain, on its way back to Hartleys jam factory at Aintree. Ray.

Another interesting picture Joe. I reckon it is from the early 1960s. The little Three-Wheeler is probably an INVACAR,
produced for the benefit of people with disabilities and certain limb problems. Many of the people with invalid cars
worked at Remploy factories throughout the United Kingdom, two factorys were local, one at Birkenhead, and another
at Aintree. The Remploy factories were created by the Government immediately after the end of World War 2, mainly
for military people who were badly injured and lost limbs, sight, and or deafness during the 1939 to 1945 conflict.
From 1995, I was a registered carrier for Remploy Ltd, my lorries and vans delivered their products throughout the U.K.,
as far north as Aberdeen, and as far south as Redruth and Penzance, and most places in-between to their over 100 factories.

Best regards, Ray.

I don't recall the chippy but do remember the shop that sold freshly fried (before your very eyes) donuts!
Born and raised in Romeo Street, later Lambeth Walk, Jersey Close, Garden Place, Hawthorne Rd, Gonville Rd now Netherton
