I knew some wag would come out with that comment, Ken. Those cottages were still there in 1975 when I lived by the duck pond. Used to walk past them to get the L23, to go to the Sefton pub. One of them was a little shop; I think they were knocked down for the building of Sainsbury's. Although looking at the picture I'm not sure they are the cottages that used to be by the little police station by the roundabout. Maybe someone could confirm?

One night my mate Dave Rankin (Andys younger brother) he had very long hair, he was totally smashed and set fire to his hair while lighting a ciggie. Crazy days.
I joined the forum in an effort to find my mate Dave but never did.

I KNOW SOME PEOPLE DONT LIKE TO USE FACEBOOK , THE LINK WILL TAKE YOU DIRECT TO THE PHOTOGRAPH , NO NEED TO REGISTER OR ANY PALAVER , THE COUPLE GETTING MARRIED IN THE PHOTO OBVIOUSLY FROM BOOTLE AND IT WOULD BE GREAT IF THEY COULD BE IDENTIFIED , MAYBE THE FAMILY WOULD BE GLAD TO RECOVER A COPY OF THE PICTURE

It would be lovely if the couple recognised themselves or other members of their family, always nice to see old photographs.

Both fine Dorothy thank you for asking, we have found a few family albums at car boot sales etc. So sad to see them there but obviously there comes a time when they become distant relatives which are more or less unknown to present family. Lovely photo. Hope you are now keeping well.

The lettering on the rear of the horse drawn cart reads (i think) 7 South Road Waterloo, would be nice to know what type of business it was. Once again great pics Joe. JJC.
