Thanks for that Mack, The Aintree was always packed out, and they served a good pint of bitter :D as well. Those days of pubs being chock a block are well truly gone, and sadly will never return. :cry: :wink:

My Dad Billy Maher played there for the Aintree All Stars,St Monicas,the Odva,a few in Bootle village as i remember.
No matter where you are,If you are a BUCK, be proud of it..

I have lived in Aintree Road for 54 years and never ever saw the inside of The Aintree.
