Hi bonesy they are great photos. Just wondering if anyone has any info on "Alex STARKEY" who is part of the Bootle charter group photo. Thinking he may be a relo although he doesn't appear in my family tree.

Very interesting souvenir booklet.
Remember very well Parr's, also Aunt Sally disinfectant, used to take an empty bottle to get filled. My old school on Breeze Hill, health centre in Knowsley Road......................................memories.
Lived Linacre Lane, Trinity Road & Knowsley Road.

loved the smell of aunt sally from Parrs..
I can't think what hospital was by Stuart Road
Walton is to far away perhaps some one can remember.

I managed to get Richard's copy of the Journal of the Institution of Municipal & County Engineers.

It contains an 88 page report from William Arthur Harrison, the Borough Engineer & Surveyor presented

to members of the above institution on April 7 1938.

I'll scan it and post it in parts.


I missed out on a copy of the Bootle Times Centenary insert from 1935. I put in an early bid but missed a later bid.

There's a copy in the LSE library. Then I googled it. Who would have guessed, this site came up. :roll: :D
