I am researching the family tree for John Brennan who lived in Lunt Road around the 50's and 60's. His dad was James Brennan who was killed whilst building the Ford factory. He has 3 brothers, Terry, Jimmy and Frank. He married Margaret Bywater from August St.. We believe only Jimmy and John are still alive. We are trying to locate Jimmy as John is ill and hasn't seen Jimmy in years.

Hi
was their mother's maiden name Sarah Veitch?

I have found the Brennan boys birth registrations ,Jimmy (James P) Brennan born 1943. Did Jimmy marry Hopwood? or do you know Jimmy's wife surname.

Hi Jan,
Thank you for the reply, and yes Sarah Veitch was the mothers maiden name.
We know Jimmy (James Patrick) married Sylvia A Harris.
This all started because John is ill and we are with him every day, he talks about his past fondly and playing for St. elizabeths, I decided to try and see how far we could go whilst he still has his memory. Some of the stories he tells are so interesting and he would love to meet Jimmy and update him.

Regards,

Ian

Hi Bobhamo,

Thank you so much for the reply, I will show John tomorrow.
We took a ride up to Lunt Road and August Road a few weeks ago, we also visited his Mum and Dad's grave in Bootle Cemetery.
He was reminiscing about the Smelly Melly, the gas works, being bombed out of Howe St, evacuated to Haydock, going the Wembley in 1966 to watch Everton, his Dad making him shave off his sideburns :D . His neighbour is Mick Howard who he worked with, and listening to the pair of them, they were right rogues.

Regards,

Ian
