I remember Doreen and Eddy Hughes, they lived next door to us in one of the prefabs in Sandy Lane. When the prefabs got pulled down, I'm pretty sure they went to live in Strand House. I remember as a kid my mum bumping into her quite often and talking to her in The Strand. I think the prefabs were pulled down sometime in the late 1960's.
