Hi everyone,

New to this site and this is my first post! I am researching the history of my family through my mums side. My Great Grandmother was Selina Horder and I am related to her eldest son born William Horder, sisters Elizabeth and Joan Horder in 32 Mason Street in the 1920's.

There is a lot we have found out already but are interested to find out more around this time period when the children were born or young or if any connections to that family line are around?

Might also see my first name is spelt Allan with the 2 'L's and this is also part of my family history in this area that I will be looking into and I am excited to be sharing in this group!

Look forward to hearing any information people may be able to assist with.

Allan

Hi Lily,

Yes that’s the Selina who we have in our own family details. Her father is William C Horder and they have a link back to Dorset.

Hi Lily and Bob,

These are some really good documents, some I have seen but others are new but it is definitely the Selina Horder who is my Great Grandmother. What we do know is that her first three children were born in Mason Street and then eventually they ended up in Daley Road, Litherland.

It all gets a bit murky from there but I remember hearing stories of Selina's sister and brother mentioned by my grandad and sisters as their Uncle Billy and Auntie Emily.

What are some of the other ways of researching information in Bootle and Litherland around this time?

Allan
