Hi Shorne,
The marriages for 1936 are not on Ancestry or anywhere on line yet. you would have to order a copy of it from the GRO in Southport. they cost £11.00 each. or if you wait for Liverpool records office to open, you could get a copy of it from the parish records on microfilm and print a copy out for about £1, but that would be the latin version.
Here is the marriage details to be able to order it,
Name: Annie Howarth
Registration Date: Jul 1936
[Aug 1936]
[Sep 1936]
Registration Quarter: Jul-Aug-Sep
Registration District: Liverpool
Inferred County: Lancashire
Spouse: William H S Burton
Volume Number: 8b
Page Number: 1445
If you are not sure how to order it, post on here and we can help you.

Shorne,
You could also order a copy of the marriage certificate from St Georges Hall.
Here is a link to the application form, download and print off and fill it in etc. I don't know what the waiting time is through.

So this is my Grandads 1st wife Annie Howarth I’m trying to find the parents of Annie (so I know the father was Henry (deceased at time of marriage) but kind find mother’s name, I think it might be Sarah but not 100%
Im wondering if there is a directory from her home address on the certificate which may give a mother’s name?
