2 Sheridan Place/Hogan family

I have found references to my great grandmother Mary Alice Hogan, I think known as Alice, living at this address in both 1918 and 1939...I am assuming she lived here between these dates...I am wondering if anyone knows anything about this family, or street, or possibly can point me towards any pictures of that street? Thanks!

I had never heard of Sheridan Place in Bootle so googled and found this article which gives street maps etc

I found her husband Christopher Hogan buried at Ford Cem 19th Nov 1938 age 69 Address 2 Sheridan Place Bootle Plot and grave SP 428.

They were Living at 116 Miller's Bridge 1911 census.

Thank you so much for your digging....yes, I have come across some of that information (I am Alice’s great grand-daughter, from the Burgess marriage)...the trail ran out, though, after her son Robert (Hogan) was born in 1916, until Husband Christopher Hogan died, in 1938, living at 2 Sheridan Place. Then the 1939 register shows Alice also living at Sheridan Place. I suspect that she/they were living at Sheridan Place for a long time, as my grandfather went on leave in 1918, at the end of WW1, and gave that as his leave address. I am wondering what might have been happening to them over that 30-odd years, and what that street was like...

I am sorry I can't help with a photo of the street, in the 1911 census the Dorman family lived at 2 Sheridan place. it is listed as having 3 rooms. So I imagine it must have been a small house. it was off Derby Road.

I will see if I can find more info about the house. I have some old Bootle maps somewhere.

I found this old map showing Sheridan Place.

If you google Drake Street Bootle, which is still there, Sheridan Place was opposite, all industrial area now.

Pity the directories have only a few names for Sheridan place
not on 1949 or later you can see the hall next to the canal

Sheenagh Sheridan place was built 1865
the chapel had a misson hall called Wesley hall
and William Gladstone addresed a meeting there
then it was used as a sailers institute where free breakfasts where given to the poor
the road was demolished 1956
