George's parents were

Elizabeth (Eliza) Oglethorpe Taylor and Thomas John Douglas. Married 1898 (Registered West Derby) Thomas John was born in Scotland, Eliza born Liverpool. Thomas John Douglas died in Australia.

Eliza Oglethorpe Douglas died in 1950 and left money to her married daughter Elizabeth Agnes Teare (wife of Henry Teare)

Eliza's address was 34 Viola Street Bootle.

I have image of the will and probate, and also an image of George's details, but I can't post pics on here, they all turn out too small.

I found the family in 1911 and earlier.

I will post the details later.

Sadly,

Mary Robina Douglas died in 1926 and is in the same grave as George.

Were at 23 Hogarth Road 1939.

Both died within the same year 1950

Many thanks for your help Alamo and Jan.
My son has George’s medals ,loyal service badge, discharge book listing ships served on, photos among other things.
Instead of him selling them online it would be nice if they were to go back to the Douglas family.

Again Many thanks

Trevor
