Following death of my late mum I have found documents about my Dads family, he never mentioned anything about family history, so was delighted to find my great grandparents address at 28 Brasenose Road. They were Edward and Rachel Bayliff and my grandmother was Maggie Turner father of my late Dad Brian. Does anyone remember the family? Where did the houses go? I drove there today after finding the grave at Bootle cemetery. Maggie was married to Bertie Turner, the son of Charles and Ann Turner my great grandparents who I didn't know names of until today. If anyone has any details, memories I would love to hear.

Thank you again, been digging through birth and death certificates today.
My great grandmother Rachel Bayliff (nee Hunter) lived at 134 Berry Street in 1897 and married my great grandfather Edward Bayliff of 1 Brook Road.
My grandfather Bertie Turner ( a paint and varnish merchant) and grandmother Maggie were living at 28 Brasenose Road at time of my dad's birth in 1925 and it appears she was still their with my father until her death in 1962. BY 1966 my father Brian Bayliff Turner was living elsewhere before returning to live in Trinity road and marriage to mum.
I assume great grandfather Edward must have moved to Brasenose road once retired (carter) and prior to his death in 1950,
I do also remember seeing 1901 census records for Edward and Rachel in early part of century living at the Baltic fleet as a public house manager then by 1911 he was a horsekeeper which fits in with the carter profession like his father Luke Bayliff of Malt Street who was killed in 1898 after being run over in Chapel street by a timber wagon.
It's amazing what you find out by digging through family papers but would love to have seen the streets they lived in and hear stories of their lives.

I remember your grandmother when she was living on Brasenose Rd along with your dad as previously mentioned on SJR posting
I remember her as always very well dressed
Family next door was called Hennigan I believe.
