Diane's mum Lily and Flo were sisters, they were a great family. We were about 14 at the time and Irene was a couple of years older, she was working at George Henry Lee at the time and quite a few years later I met Diane who told me Irene was doing really well and was a buyer for John Lewis in London , so not sure if she ever came back to Bootle, I know Angela her younger sister went abroad to live (think it was Germany) and last time I saw Avril she was living in the maisonettes above the shops in Carr Meadow Hey Ford. They were really good times.
