Hi, my family lived in Bootle from 1965 untill 2007 , went to Linacre school,Hillside High, Hugh baird college, worked in Bootle village as a barmaid in the Blobber .Woud be nice to hear from people and share memories

hi mary my nan was jess singleton and lived at 75 litherland road upto the very early 70s I think.

Just wanted to give you an update as saw this post randomly!
My dad lived at 209 the Henners lot!
Sadly Olive, John, Alan, Christine & Roy have all passed away.
The last time I saw Uncle Paul was at Uncle Alan’s funeral back in 2010.
Dad (Roy) moved to Bournemouth in April 1987 as he married my mum.
He passed away in 2002.
There is a few cousins that still live in bootle but I don’t really have much contact with them now x

Thank you for your update , it’s really sad to hear of those who have died , we had such fun living next to them , them singing and playing the drums and us with our accordions or whatever we could find.

hi Yvonne, welcome to the forum, I worked as barman in the blobber (1960-1962) , I left work at 2-30 sunday afternoon and spent the rest of the day in the nick accused of playing pitch and toss, found not guilty because all I had in my pocket was my £5.00 wages.many mixed memories of bootle village. regards billy.
