When my son got married many years ago, Arriva put a double decker on to take the guests from the church in Bootle to the Adelphi in Liverpool! (no charge) he worked for Arriva at the time. Enjoying this thread again! :D

Loretta
Stephen has told me tonight it wasn't Arriva he was working for at the time  think it was Northern something or other!!

My niece got married at St George's Hall last Saturday, we were transported to the reception in Fazakerley by a double decker bus. :D

Lovely to see the bus Bee,what a great idea.

I was talking to some Aussie lady friends last week. Who have a friendly go at my accent sometimes. ( I can tell if joking or not)
I was telling them about John, he taught all 5 grandkids when they were toddlers, to say "Double Decker Bus" in a broad Liverpool accent. :D
I had them all trying to say it. :D

Small world Phil, although I didn't attend I had a second cousin that got married at St Georges Hall on Saturday but her reception was at the Liver Hotel. I also heard about another wedding at St Georges also on Saturday where the wedding car, a white Rolls Royce crashed into a bus stop on Lime Street.

Yeah, I saw that picture on Saturday night, Keith
As far as I can remember it ended up rammed against bollards. I've just googled it, here's the story from the Metro.

Ken, you are a wag  Patricia hope all's well in your back yard.

Busy couple of days in our house this week.... we're looking after Milo. He's a big fit fella who is used to running with my daughter -i-l. As a couple of crumblies we have to take him out for several short walks each day. Heaven help me and my hip this week. …. time for me to take him for his first one....think we'll stroll along to the cemetery......do a bit of market research while I'm there :D

Oh Kath! what a fab photo of a beautiful sunrise - thanks for sharing
and Keith great hanging baskets, good to hear of you enjoying a non-Greek break :D

Loretta, a tiddler like you could put a saddle on Milo and ride him. Honestly he'd wear even you out. When Abi takes him on her training runs it takes not a feather out of him ...…..and in last week's Wirral half marathon Abi was fastest in category and 8th lady overall.....

You can get two of those for £7 In Asda at the moment, Kathy. The tins are a lot smaller these days.

Interesting Phil, also the old ones were tin, the ones now are cheap plastic.

The Lilac Tree appears to be confused or an "Over Achiever!" :D
It shouldn't bloom until Spring so I don't know what has happened!
