I can't believe Dianne has passed away after a short illness, aged 51. I loved her style of presenting, she was the Beeb's first dedicated weather presenter. You just don't know when it's your turn. RIP Dianne.

Very sad news.

Her colleague Steve Saul was clearly upset doing the local bulletin this morning.

Always loved the interplay between Dianne and Roger Johnson on NW Tonight - we often joked he was carrying a torch for her but of course she was a happily married Mum.

Upset when I heard this earlier today. Dianne was a class act. It didn't matter the condition of the weather she was presenting, she always had a sunshine smile.
She was also a cracking presenter on Inside Out.
Dianne completed a 100 mile walk for children in need as recently as 7 weeks ago.

R.I.P. You beautiful lady
