A new film "Film Stars Don`t Die In Liverpool" is released next month.
Its a true love story about the Hollywood and Oscar winning actress Gloria Grahame famous for playing the brassy blonde Violet in Its A Wonderful Life, who ended up living in Liverpool in the later stages of her life.

This title might be considered a bit thoughtless by the family of Bonar Coleano who died when he crashed his car in Birkenhead in 1958.

Birkenhead isn't in Liverpool though, its in Wirral, which is in Merseyside. So not really injurious, Ernie. :D

On the day the fatal accident was big news and the papers described the town as Birkenhead, Liverpool.

Mine was just a slightly facetious post, meant as informative rather than contentious. Maybe I could have worded it better. :oops:

Whenever I mention I came from a great town bordering the village of Liverpool I am always asked it I knew The Beatles. :) :) :)

Went to see this film at the Odeon Switch Island last week. Great film, well acted and well produced, if you didnt get to see it in my opinion you have missed out on something very special. I think Annette Benning might be nominated for an Oscar on this showing.
