Dont think those defenders would know how Danny.
Even the generous Echo ratings only gave them 3s & 4s.

Have to admit to being slightly nervous about tonight's game Ken.
As is obvious, we've struggled in CL group games and Salzburg are currently on fire.
Come on red men - prove me wrong.

Me too Bern. Napoli v Genk kicks off at the same time so we’ll know the outcome early on. K

Thankfully the second half proved me wrong!

Mo had no right whatsoever to score that goal - as audacious as anything Suarez did for us!

Yep, competent performance after tricky first half.
Incredible goal by Mo but he missed 6 easier ones.
Great to see Keita coming good but Firmino looks off the pace .

Could be a great buy for Liverpool if Takumi Minamino signs as reported in the Echo. I have liked the look of him in both games against Salzburg, and he has a release clause of only £7.5m which would be a steal.

Yes, I liked the look of him Bill, he would be an asset.
Jurgen and Millie signed contract extensions today, very positive.

Nice goals, dreadful game but we’ll take the three points. Even VVD looked poor. Ken

This is not my original - it was quoted during the broadcast of Liverpool's game against Watford.

One of the funniest lines I have heard in a long time was when the TV Commentator referred to the arrival in January of
Minamino from Salzburg.

Potentially we would then have four attackers named Winjaldum, Miniamino, Mane and Salah - otherwise known as:

Gini, Mini, Mane and Mo! :D :D :D

I could exist quite happily for the rest of my life without seeing Virgil do a back pass to Allison!!
That was close!

PS. thank you Norwich!

Tough lesson for the young lads tonight.
Don’t like to see them lose and not sure of the merit of being in Qatar but providing it doesn’t compromise the Premier League challenge it’s fine by me.

I thought all the young lads played excellent. Very proud here and great to see our younger players taking on the big boys with such confidence. I'm sure all their families will be super happy.

Looks very promising for the future.

Would have been 1- 4/5 without Becker.
What's going on with our Centre Backs, Matip, Lovren, Fabhino now VVD all out?

With Minamino signing in January , I imagine Shaqiri and Lallana could be weighed in .
Lallana is wanted back in Southampton but I don’t know who’d want Shaqiri with his wages and ego.

Well the Blues got their man for £8 million per year.
Milan, Chelsea , PSG, Real, Bayern, Napoli , Everton , now that’s a career in decline

Not a bad title to have eh boys.

I suppose City beating Leicester was also a good result for LFC.

We’ve given Hendo a lot of stick over the years but must say he is getting better and better in the big games.
Brilliant pass for the goal last night and his all round play was excellent.
Well done Jordan Henderson.

Happy Christmas Reds fans , big games ahead.
