Bob :) I remember the days when one Street used to play another Street with coats as goals also Sunday mornings in Trent Street by the wood yards off Derby Road with Ronnie Nixon and the lads, football in the winter and spring then cricket throughout the summer :)

Eddie many a day in the streets playing footy and cricket white lines on the wall for one goal and the other lamp post and wall at the other end played till it went dark. My goal is still on the wall today with my initials on it. Footy in the streets and a tennis ball. Great Days ha Eddie :D :D :D

Nice pic Bob but Eddy played in wellies and I had no ar*e in me trousers

Ours was the T junction of Almond Avenue & Musker Drive in Ford. Coats on the pavement each side made a rather wide goal but the T junction gave us wide areas for crosses. Happy days :D Ken

We can expect an all out assault from Stoke tonight. Time for the real players to stand up. K

Stoke players seemed unusually less committed in their game at the weekend - methinks they had an eye towards tonight so we'd best be ready!

Is Lovren fit? If Crouchie gets on he'll cause mayhem at corners & set pieces  K

Crouch would start if I was the manager knowing Liverpools frailty in the air especially at corners

I'm going for 3-1 Shawcross out, he's been their best defender this season. Benteke to start :)

More worried about our defenders. It looks like weather could be rough as well so lots of high balls no doubt. K

Phew not a pretty game not many shots on target from either team, Stoke looked the more threatening going forward but fabulous penalty save from Mignolet to leave Joe Allen to score the deciding pen.
Good luck to the bluenoses tonight it would be great to see a Merseyside final

Yes Joe, the Welsh Pirlo has certainly made his mark when he's come on of late, well done Joe Allen.
Brilliant by Minglesalso, great save.
I bet Crouch took a bit of stick from folk when he missed  Ken

Lousy time for people travelling from Liverpool to Wembley - 16.30pm Sunday kickoff

Shame the blues didn't get through - given their usual reaction to LFC in big games I was certainly hoping for an all Merseyside final

I'd never wish ill on any player (ok, maybe Diego Costa or John Terry!!!) but, as it's already happened, we would be a tad fortunate if De Bruyne's injury ruled him out of the final.
