Strange thing here that some time ago I passed remarks about how bad Liverpool played against Newcastle and they should donate their wages to charity for that week. I was rounded on by Finnigan for not being able to take the loss which I believe was supported by somebody called invicta (I think). Quickly reading the comments following the West ham game it would appear a lot of people are, all of a sudden of the same opinion as myself. I fear Klopp will not do too good until he can bring some of his own players in and get rid of the so called players that are on the books. I was up at 4.15 to watch this rubbish, the only two good things were that I did not pay to travel and watch and I am not a Villa supporter

We're more perplexed Graham as how they can be so good and next game so bad.
Klopp needs to be ruthless and kick out those not up for the fight. I don't advocate buying new players in January, we have a dozen young players out on loan and some great lads not getting a chance, it's time to try a few. Still , missing Sturridge, Henderson, Flannagan & Ings
( all English ) is a blow and young Gomez .
Ken
Ps and Milner of course who is 30 today.

As a Liverpool supporter of over 65 years, I cannot say that I am surprised that Rafa has been sacked. He lasted one month longer than I forecast when he was appointed.
I cannot understand it when supporters call for him to come back to Liverpool, as I couldn't
Wait for Liverpool to get rid of him. His man management skills were dreadful and I thought his style of playing was defensive and boring.
I now wait to be shot down by all his supporters, but I will never change my opinion of him.

I see that we have more players with hamstring problems. I read somewhere that people were blaming Klopp and his style of training. If this is true did the other teams he managed have the same injury problems with most of the players. I do not recall reading of this so I am inclining to believe that a lot of the Liverpool team were not fit to start off. I did read that somebody had been to Melwood during Rogers reign and quite a few of the #1 were just standing around whilst all the younger players were running around like blue assed flies

They play a lot more games these days. Europa League, League Cup , FA Cup ( tonight ) as well as Premiership ridiculous Christmas schedule. Plus many have International duties.
They have injury prevention people, recovery people, conditioning coaches, physios , doctors, can't legislate for bad luck though.

In the 60s and 70s lfc were playing up to 60 games a season on some atrocious muddy pitches, one season winning the league with 13 players I can't remember any ham string injuries then

Exeter City v Liverpool F A Cup 3rd round, kick off 7-55 pm, a round trip of 450 miles, with all of the money now sloshing around in English football from the sale of television rights it really is about time that the television companies, the Premier league and the F A, all started to contribute to a pool of money that could help to subsidise ticket holders travelling to matches that they have selected to be screened live with late kick off times on a Friday Saturday, Sunday or Monday. Those who regularly travel to away matches are the real hardcore supporters, they should be given some consideration in the matter, even if it meant that their club (if in the Prem) helped with the cost towards coach travel, max 15 to 20 grand and just think of the work it would generate for local coach operators. JJC. (come on the Grecians).

Very youthful team on display during the match. Must be difficult getting everyone motivated without knowing the entire team.

The kid asleep at his desk would get a high five from our teacher with a board duster across his knuckles
Jose Enrique still draws £65k per week and gets run ragged by some 4th tier lads.
Benteke as Captain, really Jurgen, better give it to a kid with some fight in him.
Bogdan - Just bog off back to Bulgaria.
The others did OK. Brad Smith & Ilori . Texeira is quality but need an end product but overall the kids did alright on a tricky night. Ken

Jonjo Shelvey to Newcastle for £12 million
That is good business by Swansea, they paid LFC £5 million plus a few add ons. A Jekyll & Hyde player, outstanding when he's up for it but far too inconsistent. Still at 23 , McClaren must see some potential.

Steven Caulker 24 , QPR (on loan at Southampton) Central Defender has signed a loan deal with LFC until the end of the season.
Cover was required for Skrtl, Lovren, Sakho,& Toure all on the injured list.
LFC asked about Stones but he said he was restricted by Chelsea who he will join for next season.
