How can a team that thrashed Man City away struggle with a very poor side at home ?
I know changes were made but we were poor as a team despite the win .
Individual performances-
Mingolet, great shot stopper but such a liability and last night --- well
Milner , works hard but not doing it for me.
Firmino, looked lost without his mate Coutinho.
Benteke, needs to move better. Rarely do I agree with Michael Owen but he's right about the big fellah, could be much more dangerous with better movement.
Allen, January window - OUT !!
The others were OK but no one stood out, or maybe Clyne was best of bunch.

We did what we did against City and Won and i would rather have it that way instead of playing great and getting beat

Ken, I just take what we get on the day, at best we’re only an average team these days I’m sorry to say.
Cheers Joe.

Seeing that it is the 2nd today I will say that Liverpool will win 2-0 and no 2(Clyne) will score 1st in the 2nd minute and then scores his 2nd in the 22nd minute meaning Southampton come 2nd best and I have no 2nd thoughts about the result. I think I will put 2pound on the result of 2-0 :P :P BUYING MONEY

If all that goes to plan Henry, I will send you £2 two minutes after the second half ends. Too right I will. Anyone second that ? K

Unlikely now Henry, no Clyne. Looks like Herr Klopp doesn't fancy this competition with that side. K

Quote ("john james ingham"]henry so happy for you but us bluenoses don't want to know.we will sort stoke city out in the final.)Just watched the Stoke City v Man City game, i have to say i was hugely impressed by the Stoke performance, (full of drive, endeavour and dare i say it class) i think Everton may well have dodged a bullet in the semi final of the Capital One cup. Man City have been really poor in their last 3 or 4 prem games (excluding Southampton at home). Starting to think that Everton may just have been given a bye into the final v Stoke, JJC.

Depends which City turn up John. They were pretty awful today but when Kompany , Aguero & Toure play they are another matter.
Still fancy LFC v City final but hope you can scrape through for a Mersey final  K

I agree John if City play like they did today then you'll hammer them.

Some surprising results in the Prem yesterday, what would be more surprising today is that Liverpool don't get a penalty.

No start for Sturridge, Origi or Lallana today, the 3 best players from the other night  K

Ken,
You make a great point - why the three of them on the bench?

Clyne does not do it for me.

Ibe was completely off the boil tonight - he seems to be a lot bulkier than when I first saw him play in Australia against Melbourne Victory - he does not seem anywhere near as fast as he used to be.

Lucas is playing some great football but is he trying to wallpaper his lounge room with yellow cards? He has had two more since his suspension.

Benteke - I still cannot work him out. Two fantastic goals is small result considering his reputation. Lots of good heading tonight but there was nobody feeding off him.

Goodnight everyone - it's 2.00 am over here.

Henry, when you win ugly the likelihood is that you will one day lose beautifully .......... and that's what you did today.

There will be many more days like this one in your future. Sorry!

Comments about the Newcastle game, just refer back to the original post that started this thread. Remarkable similarities with the same culprits but this time a different result.
I still think he should have started with his best three from Thursday but I like his honesty when he said basically we were
Sh**e and didn't deserve the wonder goal by Moreno. K

watched the Newcastle game, a disgusting show by Liverpool and a disgrace to the red shirt. The whole team

You obviously are an Evertonian ...... but thanks for your opinion ...... Oh wait, if I am wrong and you are really a Liverpudlian, then you need to be ashamed of yourself for turning on your own team like that just because they didn't satisfy your need for a win. What an un-sportsman like attitude.
