I meant the urban myth about Bob Holness allegedly playing Saxophone on Baker Street.

I'd heard the Bob H myth in relation to Baker St too Phil. Hazel O'Connor clip fab thanks Bern... not just the music but the clothes but her style too. I'd have given my eye teeth for that red jacket she's wearing toward the end. :lol:

Sorry Phil

What I should have said was you were correct re BH and Baker Street, but then, once discredited, the shift of the myth somehow transferred over to Will You.

And in the same vein; the late great Jones the Ted would have been 80 today.
My big bro who we lost too soon at the age of only 25 taught me to jive whilst I was still at infant school; such happy memories;

Thanks Bern. He was such fun and I have great memories of him but it saddens me that his two kids (aged 12 months and 22 months when he passed) have no memory of him at all.
RIP Ted; Forever young, loved forever. x

Thanks for that Keithos.
He was brother #4 and with the older boys being in the armed forces he was the oldest at home when I was a little 'un. He was so full of fun and kindness.

Great choice of song Bee, I seem to have no concept of time, forget we all age. Ted was a lovely young man, can still see him standing on their doorstep in Collins Street..that kindly smile I’ll never forget.

Nice one Bee.

Recognised it as soon as it started but didn't have a clue what it was when I saw the title.

Was it used as a TV theme possibly?

Bern, I think it's one of those tunes (like Baker St and Green Onions) that you just recognise imediately.
Had a Wiki; it doesn't appear to have been a TV theme tune but featured in the following films;

1988: Aloha Summer
1988: Crocodile Dundee II
1999: American Pie
2000: The Goddess of 1967
2010: Flipped
2014: Pawn Sacrifice

Thanks Bee.

None of those ring a bell. Guess you're right - it's just one of those you know without knowing (if that makes sense).

Lovely choice, Bernie especially at this time of the year!! Saw Neil Diamond at the Ferguson Center/Centre a couple of years ago
really enjoyed the concert, at one point he came down from the stage and shook hands with people nearby, very personable!!

Anyone seen that terrible clip on the news of the Council official disrupting a funeral service in Milton Keynes??

Instantly made me think of this little comic tune from the 70s...

In memory of Charlie Newport who died yesterday of this dammed disease. One of the unsung musos in Liverpool. Charlie was an amazing guitarist.

Pop's Peter Pan - Sir Cliff Richard - celebrates his 80th birthday today.

This one, which hit #2 in 1981, brings fond memories of when our Louise was a tiny baby

Sad to hear of the passing of another musical figure from the 60s.
Spencer Davis died on Sunday, aged 81.
This 1966 UK number one was their second of 2 chart toppers, after Keep On Running in '65.

My favourite cover of Carole King's classic.
Fitting title for my return to Anfield today.
Looking forward to seeing some of the gang.
