Any BBs who follow me over on Facebook will (hopefully) enjoy my daily "Today's Tune" selections.

Just realised that it's 7 years today since I started posting them (and I've only missed 2 days!).

Anyway, way back on 8th November 2011, this was the one that started it all off - a fabulous story song from Squeeze...

Six years today we marvelled at The Killers doing this one live at the Echo Arena.

One year ago today, the very same date, we were lucky enough to do it all again.

Who remembers Chris Norman from Smokie? He's wearing well isn't he? I reckon he's got one of those 'Dorian Gray' type paintings in his attic.

Here's his little Christmas ditty to get you in the mood...

Just posted this as my soul Saturday tune on Facebook and thought I'd give the BBs a chance to remember - it was number one on this date way back in 1975

Had some fun on Friday night challenging Alexa to find some of my old favourite obscure b sides from 'back in the day'. Pleased to say she came up trumps and found this little beaut for us!

Heard this one today in a retro shop in Haworth, Yorkshire.
Hearing brought back memories of my mum when she was a young woman.

Have ALWAYS loved this song from way back in the 80's (believe
it may have had something to do with Lew's love of motor cycles
and race cars.) I still hear it played every now and then.....................

Anyone like Led Zeppelin's classic 'Stairway to Heaven'?

If so, click this link, sit back and prepare to be blown away by Heart's cover of it.

No pressure like, with Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones in the audience - they've even got the late John Bonham's son, Jason, on drums.

It's absolutely fabulous.

Excellent Bern. Certainly a goosebump jobby.
There was a time when John was playing on drums and he always wanted to see the band play. So unbeknown to the other three, John and Jason swapped over mid song. John snucked into the audience and watched Led Zeppelin play two songs before the others noticed.
