Here is a "Forgotten" song that was popular at one time - heard
it today................ Going to ask "Alexa" to play it for me each
morning after the world news and the first song "It's a beautiful Morning!" :D

Bernie - That was indeed lovely but soooo sad - glad the tissue box was
near at hand. Now, I have to play something to get me cheerful
again for the rest of the day!!!! :I always have "Alexa" play it each day
and it really does set the pace for me, thankfully!!

It's a Beautiful Morning........

Bily Joel celebrates his 70th birthday today.

Here's one of my favourite clips. It's from back in 1984 when he was touring his 'An Innocent Man' album.

The song itself is brilliant but the 2.5 minute intro is fabulous.

Happy birthday to 'The Piano Man'

Great performance from Billy Joel, enjoyed the acapello :D here’s the original.
Took me back to the early sixties - all those ‘doo wop’ songs :D

Happy 70th Mr Piano Man

Just watched the Channel 4 Champion's League preview from Thursday night and John Barnes described Klopp's LFC as 'bringing on back the good times'; so, without further ado......

A wonderful song Bee.

Had the pleasure of seeing Extreme at Man City's old ground in the early 90s on a cracking bill: Little Angels, Squeeze, Extreme and Brian Adams - what a fab day that was.

I bought their album, Pornograffiti, on the strength of More Than Words. Of course the single is a massive departure from what they normally did but the album was a good rock album all the same.

60 years ago today, Bobby Darin's version of this tune was clinging on to the number one spot as I made me entry in to this world.

Have to say though, I've always preferred this version by Liverpool's very own Phil Jones (of Afraid of Mice, Two's A Crowd, Up & Running fame)...

Sadly I remember this song being a hit, but hopefully some of the words will come true.

The legend that is Neil Diamond changes his famous lyrics to help us through the Corona crisis.

Works well as a simple guitar lesson too if you can manage an A, D and E chord

20 years ago today, our Holly came into our lives. She is no longer a teenager, but she will always be "daddy's little girl".

Please enjoy this beautiful song from The Shires.

They certainly are Bill.

Been fortunate to see them twice and were due to clock up the hat trick at The Phil on 23 May - sadly postponed until 30 October now; still, something good to look forward to when this pandemic has, hopefully, blown over.

As Hazel O'Connor celebrates her 65th birthday today it's a fine excuse to roll this one out.

This beautiful tune from the movie 'Breaking Glass' made it to #8 in 1981 and features, IMHO, some of the best saxophone work ever recorded.

Contrary to urban myth, the sax player was Wesley Magoogan, and not Blockbusters host Bob Holness.

Enjoy...

Great choice, Bernie. :D I thought that urban myth was accredited to Baker Street?
