That's a lovely venue but the photo looks incredible - in the literal sense.
Is it a photoshop publicity shot I wondered, but no - just mooched online and it's genuine... WOW!!!!

Dan, did you see the picture in the Daily Mail today of the man being hugged by a huge lion? in a magical world I would love that!

Couldn't find the Daily Mail photo, but googled "man hugging lion" and got loads of pictures of nutters hugging and kissing lions.
I think the secret is to wait until after the lion has had a really big feed, but, still, personally I'd give it a miss.

Colour me sad
One question, Tom.
I saw a picture of Wasdale Head and it set me wondering.
Does your your Cherokee Chief** also cover the wiggly roads in The Lakes or do you have to stay on the straight ones?*
*Apologies to those unfamiliar with highways technical jargon.
Wasdale Head
**"Cherokee Chief" from Jerry Harrison's Casual Gods 1987 album.

Lovely pic Dan.
Wasdale's where Harry practised playing the bagpipes; the echo off the screes makes anyone sound good . On one occasion he and his "tutor" were stood playing against the screes and turned to see a line of cars stopped listening. One of the drivers even nipped over to ask for a request, which the tutor was happy to play and was rewarded with a Β£10

We only patrol the motorway, however I have been over all the mountain passes many times in my own car.Dan wrote: βThu Dec 16, 2021 8:34 am Colour me sad
