Kalamera Keithus and Lianas,
Are you on a multi centre packages or have you sorted out ferry etc yourselves?
As for us...
After Saturday's initial "delay" turned to cancellation we were told next available flight was 4 days later (Wednesday) or we could join the madness at Manchester and go on Tuesday. Rather than cut an 11 day trip down to 7 or 8 days we cancelled the whole thing and went home.
We'd opted to go from Liverpool because of the situation at Manchester but hadn't thought about easyjet's propensity for cancelling flights
We've had a refund of the package deal from Tui and seat supplements from easyJet, still out of pocket for the car parking but I suppose the flight delay compo we've claimed is meant to cover that sort of thing.
For now we're making no further plans until the Manchester madness eases...

Glenys, I wouldn't blame you!
STOP PRESS.... just checked my email and our flight delay compensation claim has been accepted and cash is on it's way. Seems easyJet can do something in a timely manner!

Bee, We are on an all inclusive package with Tui. After the debacle at Manchester on 1st May I doubt we will ever fly from there again, it was horrendous.
Heard very good reports whilst here about people using Doncaster Airport saying it was a breeze.
Hope that you get sorted soon.
I personally think that it will be a long time before the Manchester situation is sorted.

Keith, Liverpool was fantastic. We parked on the long-stay at 13.45, walked to terminal, through bag drop and security and were sitting waiting to be served lunch at 14.45. One hour exactly.
On the subject of lunch; if you or anyone else flies from Liverpool give the Kissing Gate "restaurant" a swerve. A burnt burger and dried up microwaved sausage & mash served on a chipped plate plus 2 beers £41

Such a shame Bee you have missed out on your holiday. I left 12th May, Manchester airport, jet2. only half hour early but open so my case was almost the first one through, staff where wondering where everybody was! through security later within 25 mins. Jet2 staff very on the ball, only problem I had was my case was the very last off the plane! I'm in a little village in Crete by the way, rather hot!

Fabulous US band from Las Vegas.
You may recognise some songs... Mr. Brightside? .... or maybe Human (are we human, or are we dancer?)

We used to have a former forces radio DJ Richard Nankivell on the twilight show here on BBC radio Cumbria, his last song of the evening was always Human by The Killers.

The article was about a young girl invited up on the stage to play the drums!

That would be Grace at the Norwich show I think, although another girl got picked at our show too - unsure of name (Katie/Casey something like that).

Love that Patricia, thanks for sharing. We've got the kids' dogs for 6 days from Thursday and that's the look Red gives when left home but these days Milo looks relieved not to be dragged out on "another blummin' walk!"

Many thanks Loretta & Bee - Hate to mention it but it is July 4th over here and of course a big day of celebration. Remember my eldest bro calling me Fifty odd years ago to say I was an Aunt to my nephew, Peter, who was born July 4th and stating "Look
what we have done for America!!"
Not much going on here at my house except Janine & Mark are taking me to Brunch - here are a couple of photos when I hosted the celebration two years ago before covid did it's damage.
Take care and enjoy your week............Patricia x

Great pix Patricia. Hope you enjoyed your Independence Day brunch with Janine and Mark. Like you, I have a nephew born on 4 July (1961).
My son missed it by a day arriving on 3 July 1972; yep, my "Boy" was 50 on Sunday and I'm still wondering how that happened when I'm only 39

Hope you enjoyed your brunch with Janine and Mark, Patricia., it’s great being treated by the family. We had a family gathering at my nephews home at the weekend, I took my four year old great grandson Leo with me.
He was thrilled to meet two cousins he didn’t know he had and they really hit it off. On the way home I asked what he thought of his “new” cousins, he looked puzzled then told me they weren’t new cousins, they were already his cousins when they got born. I’m such a dumb-cluck.

Ray - So glad volunteers are doing such a great job - same goes on here but mostly at the moment with donating out food to people out of work and families to feed ! My "bit for America" is knitting hats for people that have undergone chemo and lost their hair!! Also, for unfortunate children in the State of West Virginia for Christmas.
Bee & Miv - So nice to read your news and hearing about your Families. Enjoyed Brunch at the "Outback!" which is a popular Australian themed restaurant - do they have them in your area? They are pretty much famous for their Steaks and "Blooming Onions" which are delicious.
My brother Keith sent me a photo of his Grandson and Girlfriend, Izzy, both from Cardiff. They will be attending Bristol Uni in the Autumn, I think she is lovely and Janine said Loan (YO-on) reminds her of Harry Potter!!!
Hope all is going well your end ......Patricia xx
