I'm asking everyone if they could put this as their status for 1 hour. I'm pretty sure I know the ones who will. Think of someone you love who has had cancer. My wish that in 2011 there is a cure to be found. Will you post it for 1 hour? To honour those who have fought or are fighting cancer. I hope to see it as your status xXx

Just read this on Face Book from a very young and courages girl who is fighting cancer

It's a facebook thing Lily. Everyone has a status and/or a profile pic so you can post something on your status/profile and leave it there for however long you want.

Sorry Julia, not very computer savvy.

Hope this will help.

Kill the Cancer.

Comes like a thief in the hush of the night.
Mention the word and you'll see "facial fright"
Been here too long, took too many lives.
Oh what a Blessing when someone survives.

How do we get it, does anyone know.
Is it pills that we take, or places we go.
Is it in all the food that we eat everyday.
Or is it the soil where we work and we play.

Fields full of memories, spoken with flowers.
Daffodils telling of heartbroken hours.
How many stories, how many more.
Get rid of this killer we must find a CURE.

Marie, just read your lovely poem. Having lost my husband, mom-in-law and many friends to cancer I pray they will find a cure quickly so no one else has to suffer from the disease and the sadness it brings to the whole family.

Eddy, thanks for explaining the status/profile, I am on face book but don't look in to often.

Jean just got back from a night out after hearing of a good friend lost to cancer. What a horrible disease. Most of my family. Father, Mother, Sister, Brother, Uncles an Aunties besides my friends have been taken by cancer.

There are good news stories as well as we know only to well in this Family.
My Wife, Janette is a new woman after having a brain tumour removed in Feb 2010. Recent MRI revealed all clear and no need to see Consultant for 2 years.
I say to all who have suffered and are suffering, our prayers are with you in thanks for Janette. Ken

Vera sent me this lovely pic of Red Ron, it was taken on a Cruise ship...

All dressed up looking very dapper...

I think he looks like, James Bond with a Martini, "Shaken, not stirred."

  Lily nothing to do with the pic, but found this little snippet..

Me uncle Albert, has plenty of `Senior moments` as we all do, He still hasn`t worked out the `Metric System` and he went in the Butchers, the week before last, and ordered 2 x Kilometers of pork sausages, The Butcher Boy delivered them ( three Palettes ) on a fork lift truck. They are everywhere, up to the ceilin` in the back bedroom, In the` Bike Shed`,in the `Airin` cupboad`In the `Cockloft` It cost him 5 x weeks `pension` Minnie`s had the `Health` in , twice this week, the Postman said `it smelled like `Stanley Abattoir, in June`, this was a week ago, an`Albie`s still eatin` them, bein` a `War Baby` he said "Waste not, Want not" Me long sufferin Auntie Minnie agreed, sayin`Listen Albert, "You are a `Waste`and, " I Want not a one" ( Honest ) Cheers ....John

Thanks Kathy I have to be honest and say I loved Johns posts about Albert and Min, he did one when I posted about the CWA and the B and S balls here in Aus and I was in tucks for days. He could have made a fortune kathy in book form about Albert and Min 'the star crossed lovers'
