We have lived in our house since 1979 and this is the first time we have ever had a black bear warning for our area.I guess just too many people are feeding their pets outdoors and bears have a fantastic sense of smell so up to now all they are pinching is dog and cat food doing the raccoons out of their easy meals but the people about 5 houses away from us put out their garbage cans the night before pickup and you should have seen the mess a bear made.Second time I have seen a mink in our back garden.I thought it was a black tree rat until I saw it's mouth and a row of teeth.Wonder what is next?

Wow, Matt! dangerous I know but I would love to see a adult one! (in a safe place - me I mean!) only had a quick glance at a baby bear crossing the road when we visited Canada. Hope you and Sheila are fine.
