Jean.......I've many memories from the old Bootle YMCA when it was on Breeze Hill.........spent almost the entire 60's decade @ the club.

(It was previously on Stanley Rd, but before my time)

I'd love to view the stuff you have from Doug Ward.

Please advise, Cheers.

The YMCA on Stanley Road was in a single storey building on the east side of Stanley Road between Trinity Road and Balliol Road; opposite the chapel/church on the corner of Trinity Road/Stanley Road. :D

Hi
I Was a member from around 1955- 58Then YMCA was on Stanley Road.
I remember Doug Well. I think he use to have a green Baby Austin he use to drive us around in. I have fond memories of playing 'Padder' out back of hall, Saturday night dances, gymnasium classes and Lake Windemere camp each year

I went there for a while, the one on Stanley Rd. Used to go with Ritchie and Alan Lavery from Ford.
I remember playing 5 a side with a cloth ball that always fell apart :D K
