I wonder if the Moulsdale person, who lived in Knowsley Road, was any relation to our member, Mary?

Fernley's on Stanley Road was a shop I went in a lot, as a young girl I used to buy my girly magazine there and much later on my woodbines! There was a shop at the top of Exeter Road called Whitmores which I am sure Fernley's owned, they sold some groceries as well as papers etc. Thanks Bob for bringing back memories!

That's great to see, thanks. I used to buy fish from Joe Maguire in the 1950s. His shop was between Costigan's and Connor's newsagents on Peel Road.
