Hi my grandad’s family ran this pub during the 60s-70s maybe 80s? My mum has fond memories of this pub and spent much of her childhood growing up here. Her nan and grandad were called Stanley and Annie Bolton. My grandad John (Raymond) also spent much of his time helping run the pub. Just seeing if anyone remembers drinking here during this time and has any memories to share as my mum and grandad would love to hear them.

I grew up on Wadham Road in the 70s and early 80s, I was too young to drink at the time but remember my parents and grandparents drinking at The Banjo and The Bedford. ;)

My brother, Gary used to be a regular there in the early 80/90's. He used to be really good at pool and in the 90's used be the quiz master there. I remember falling out of the back door at 2am after a lock in and tore my ankle ligaments. Although I was drunk, I was in terrible pain; I knocked hell out of the door so that I could ring an ambulance, but no one answered. :D
